Hare's Heat Plague

I don't know why Heat Plague is failing me. It looks gorgeous in the bottle and the swatches made my eyes go wide, but on my nails...bleh.

Now don't get my wrong, it's not ugly, it's just not what I want. It is just too dark, I tried it over a variety of greens, but nothing really wows me.

It takes two coats of polish to get to the glitter level I enjoy, but then the base is just too dark. The polish itself was wonderful, no glitter fishing or trouble. In fact, it is jam packed full of glitter; so it gets dense very quickly.

Here are a few pictures of my Hare ombre:

Here is what I started with:

Thumb- Orly Jealous Much, Index- China Glaze Gaga for Green, Middle- Sinful Colors Happy Ending, Ring-  Sinful Colors Irish Green, Pinky- Revlon Posh

Just noticed the weird green patch on my index finger, I'm not sure how or when that happened, but sorry about that.

Here are two coats of Heat Plague over the greens:

My favorite was two coats over SC Kelly Green.

Any suggestions? If not, on the swap list it goes. I know someone will love it!

In case you didn't know or forgot:

Quick swatches

I wanted to swatch my new polishes just so I could I see how pretty they are and I thought I would share.

Starting from the top right to the bottom left is Enchanted Awesomeness, Enchanted Austin Powers, Hare Heat Plague, Hare Magic Mist, Hare Why So Igneous, Hare Dog Day Dream, Hare Asteroid Turf, and Nerd Lacquer Holy Grail.

I'm in love with all of these except Heat Plague, but I might need to layer that one to actually appreciate it. Right now, the glitter just looks a bit too muddy and congested for my taste. I also think I will need to layer Magic Mist and Holy Grail in order to get them to really pop.

I used two coats for all of these swatches.

Nail Mail!!

I came home today to some awesome mail! Actually awesome doesn't describe it, but thanks to preorders, restocks, blog sales, swaps and a hoarder mindset these pretties are mine!!

Hare polishes are so gorgeous, I'm so glad to finally have gotten my hands on a few.

From left to right is Asteroid Turf, Dog Day Dream, Magic Mist, Why so Igneous? and Heat Plague.

Here are some close ups:
It's time to ooh and ahh
I swapped one of my unused Nerd Lacquers for Holy Grail.
I can't wait to find out if it actually glows in the dark!

I've been craving a gold holo, so when Enchanted polishes were restocked I went for Austin Powers and couldn't resist Awesomenes. I'm glad I caved, look at that rainbow!

I can't wait for swatching time! If my nails could drool they would be. Now, I have one problem, which polish should I try first?!?
